Now, in this lesson, let’s learn how to use the gesture that native speakers use!
If you master this, you’ll be a lot closer to mastering Japanese!

Japanese people often use this gesture
そうなんだ / sounanda / I see.
たしかに / tashikani / That’s true.
なるほど / naruhodo / That makes sence.
ほんと or まじ / honto, maji / Really
そうそう / sousou / Yes, yes.

Example sentences
(1)
A:
近所に新しくレストランができたんだ。
(Kinjo ni atarashiku restaurant ga dekitanda)
There’s a new restaurant in the neighborhood.

B:
そうなんだ!今度一緒に行こう!
(Sounanda! Kondo issho ni ikou!)
I see! Let’s go together next time!

A:
日本の夏って年々暑くなってない?
(Nihon no natsu tte nennen atsuku nattenai?)
Isn’t it getting hotter and hotter every year in Japan?

B:
たしかに。(Tashikani)
That’s true.

A:
